Brazil-Jazz is very popular jazz style, combining musical influences from various parts of the world in a funky groove mix and colourful improvisation platforms.

Its origins lie in Brazilian popular music (MPB), whose lyrics are written by the country’s best-known authors and poets. Since the 60s, various exponents of MPB have repeatedly made the international hit parade – Astrud, João and Bebel Gilberto, Elis Regina, Maria Rita, Tom Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Djavan and many others.
